a/n: here I am again ^O^
Congratulations to andreja1989  because of her exams °\(^O^)/°
And I apologize for the late but fortunately now I will regularly post once a week ;D

That morning Aiba woke up early. It was a bright and sunny day and he wanted to do some errands and housework to let his bad thoughts go away. Two weeks already passed from that 'incident' in the shower and thanks to Sakurai's care, he already recovered from the fever and the sore throat.
Fortunately Nino left the hospital the day before but he was staying at Ohno's house. That geezer didn't want to leave Nino's side at all from the incident. Maybe he was a little overdoing it but Aiba thought that his behavior was really cute towards Nino. On the contrary Sho was more and more distant. In the past days he couldn't really tell what was passing through his lover's mind and he was really bothered by it. Although he was his boyfriend, Sho never relied on Aiba and kept the burden on his own shoulders without asking for help. The host was more and more insecure but tried his best to cheer up Sho whenever he had the chance. Plus, from the incident, Sho never put a finger on his lover, neither to make love or just to hug him. He kept on telling that it was because he was worried for Masaki's health since he just recovered but Aiba knew it was a lie.
He finished his housework while thinking about his love life and decided it was time to go shopping. As always, he asked the granny next door if she needed something and went out. He bought all he needed wondering what he could cook for lunch and dinner. He felt very refreshed. It was good after all to take a walk in such a good day, he thought. Smiling brightly, he was about to go home when a black car approached him. The driver immediately went out the car and opened the passenger seat in front of Aiba.
"Aiba Masaki?" An old man with sunglasses asked, already sitting comfortably in the car.
"H-hai?" Aiba replied hesitantly.
"I'd like to talk to you for a while. May I have some of your time?"
"What do you need from me?" He asked more and more suspicious.
"I'm Sakurai's father, I just want to ask something about you."
Aiba was surprised. Sho never talked about his parents and actually he realized he knew nothing about Sho's family.
"I think I can talk with you for a while, sir." Aiba said with a big smile of his, sitting in the car while the driver closed the door and went back to his seat.

After that strange encounter he went straight home and for the whole day he thought about what Sakurai's father explained to him. All of those secrets kept from him were painful because for Masaki it meant that his lover didn't trust him. At first he was shocked to know that Sho was the son of a kumicho. His happenings were enough to hate all the yakuzas. But then Masaki thought that it didn't matter. At heart Sho was different. He wanted to change his own path and became a lawyer. Nevertheless Aiba didn't understand why his lover didn't say anything about it. But right now the one thing he was really worried about was that line Sho's father said.

"He will soon be bored of you and will find some other entertainment."
"I can't believe it. He loves me." Aiba stated defending Sho with determination.
"You don't say?" The old man sarcastically replied. "He tells it to anyone he's interested in. You will find out what kind of man my son is. Actually I don't mind both of you dating but I don't want to clean his mess anymore. That's why I'm here to warn you."
"I trust him. He would never betray me." Masaki said looking straight into the geezer's eyes. "Plus it's our business if anything will happen between us. And now if you'd excuse me, I need to go back home."
"I really like you, Aiba-san. It was a pleasure to know you. Anyway I paid your debts with that lousy clan; you don't have to worry anymore."
"What?" Aiba almost screamed.

“I hope to see you again." Sho's father smirked before telling his driver to stop the car and let Aiba go out.

That conversation shook him and the one thing he could do was to let his doubts blow away and directly ask Sho. He waited for Sho to come back home and cooked dinner but the lawyer didn't show up. It became a routine from the "incident" in the shower: Sakurai always came back home late without letting Aiba know. The latter thought that he was too busy with his work but an uneasy feeling was growing in his heart. Calling him was useless because he rarely picked up his call in the past few days and so he sent him a message.

"Dinner is ready but it's almost time for me to go to work. I'm sorry, you will have to eat alone again. I hope you'll be still awake when I come back tonight because I need to talk to you. Ittekimasu~."
When Sakurai read that message, he felt guilty for the way he was mistreating his boyfriend. Aiba didn't deserve such a cold behavior but he couldn't help it. Aiba's sake was the first priority for Sho and the only way he could protect his lover was the most painful one. He didn't reply to the message and a tear escaped from his eye. He thought it was enough. He needed to do the last move as soon as he could or his heart wouldn't bear all the situations anymore. He realized he was too weak and docile towards Masaki. That's why he decided to treat him coldly so that the latter would soon wish to break up with him because Sho wasn't able to end their relationship. He called Toma and they went together to his apartment. When he went in, he felt like it was a while. Since Matsuoka's death, they stayed at Nino's place for Masaki to be able to mentally recover from the shock. After some minutes Toma arrived and asked what was going on.
"Tonight we will carry out the plan." Sakurai said emotionless.
"Are you sure?" Toma asked a little worried. "You know, I don't think it's the right thing to do."
"But it's up to me and I need to be apart from him." Sakurai sat down on the couch and fixed the table in front of him without really seeing it. His mind was full of memories and worry. Masaki was really a light in his life but he couldn't do anything to help him. Although Sakurai knew it was necessary to leave him alone, he knew he would miss Aiba's bright smile and sweetness.
"As you wish." Toma replied sarcastically. "But your father is not as dangerous as you think. Look at me, I'm still alive!"
"You? You need to hide at Jun's place to be safe!" The lawyer almost screamed, feeling a little guilty. "I don't want the same fate for Masaki." He added looking down.
"Stop blaming yourself! It's not your fault!"
Toma was right. It wasn't Sakurai's fault if his father found out about Toma's hidden identity. Actually Toma was an infiltrator in Sakurai's clan and he was helping Inspector Yamashita and Sho by giving them precious information about the clan and its business. But unfortunately, when he took Aiba to see Matsuoka and they met two subordinates of Sakurai's clan, his long reliability broke down and Sakurai's father found out about his true identity. Sho and inspector Yamashita helped him to run away but now he was forced to stay at Matsumoto's house. Well, it's not that he didn't like it. Actually he was really happy to be able to tease the poor host everyday and their relationship became so close that he thought about confessing his love to Jun.
A deep silence fell and the two didn't spoke for a while, lost in their thoughts, when suddenly Toma asked:
"What will you do when you let go of Aiba-chan?"
Sakurai looked at him surprised and said disheartened:
"I will come back to my usual life. Nothing will change."
"Be true. You'll miss him and you'll be torn apart by the pain."
"It can't be helped." The lawyer looked straight in his friend's eyes and added pissed off: "I already set my mind, I won't change it. Why don't you care for your love life instead?"
"Because my love life is great, I don't need to worry." Toma said nonchalantly.
They talked about trivial things until late night, waiting for Aiba to come back home.

It was around 3 o'clock when Aiba left the club followed by Matsumoto.
"Aiba-chan, is anything wrong?" He asked a little concerned.
"Why do you ask?" Aiba was startled because he didn't expect Matsumoto to notice.
"Tonight you were absent-minded."
Aiba smiled, happy to know that Jun was caring for him. "Are you sure you want to hear my chatters?"
"Why not? I'm going to give you a ride to Sakurai's home. So I have time to listen to you." Jun said and, smiling back, he showed to Aiba the way to his car.
"Ah it's not necessary."
"It is. Toma is with him and they asked me to go there with you."
Aiba was puzzled. Why didn't Sho say anything to him? Jun noticed the strange look on Aiba's face and as he read his mind, he asked:
"Didn't Sakurai say anything to you?"
"He didn't. Well, we didn't talk so much in the past two weeks." He replied bitterly.
"Get in the car and tell me everything."
Aiba was glad to know that his co-worker had a friendly side hidden behind that cool mask. He did as said and started to talk about his worries. He didn't know what to think anymore because Sakurai changed all of a sudden from caring boyfriend to a cold man. He never replied to his messages, rarely picked up the calls and he ended them quickly saying he was busy. The times when they were both at home were lesser and lesser and Aiba was confused because he didn't know what happened. Maybe he did something wrong or Sho was tired to deal with Aiba's problems. Plus he just met Sakurai's father who asked him to leave his son or he would end heart-broken.
"Wait! Do you know about Sakurai's father?" Jun asked alarmed.
"Yes, I met him today. Why do you ask?" Aiba was confused by Jun's reaction.
"Do you know about... his business?" Jun explained stressing the word 'business'.
"Eh? Do you also know that he is a yakuza?"
Jun nodded and an awkward silence fell in the car. Aiba was bothered by the situation. Why Sho didn't tell anything to him but he did tell to Jun?
"I bet he really doesn't trust me." He whispered to himself but Jun heard him and deeply breathed before saying:
"I don't think so. I know him from long ago and I can truly say I never saw him so caring towards anyone but you."
"I'm not sure about it." Aiba replied more and more discouraged.
They finally arrived at Sakurai's home and Aiba came in feeling uneasy both for his problems with Sho and for the memory of Matsuoka's death. He looked at the spot where the dead body was previously laying but now everything was clean like nothing happened.
However they didn't expect what they saw in the kitchen. Sakurai and Toma were hungrily kissing each other like they didn't notice at all the other two men.
"I guess you were wrong." Aiba said on the verge of tears and smiled bitterly to Jun before going out of the apartment. Matsumoto couldn't stand that situation. He felt betrayed for thinking his relationship with Toma could finally take a turn. Plus he was really pissed for Sakurai's behavior and pitied Aiba. He took Sho from his shirt and punched him right in the stomach. The lawyer fell down on his knees while Toma tried to stop Jun.
"Don't touch me." He said serious as hell. "I'm going after Aiba-chan, you two can keep on making out." He added leaving behind a crushed Toma.
"Didn't you say anything to him?" Sakurai asked breathing deeply, trying to stand up.
"I didn't think he would react like that." The playboy replied petrified.

bad Idea Sho really bad Idea .. perhaps Sho can somehow live with his own decision but he also destroy Masakis Heart with this .. Love is not so easy .. you break up and go on like nothing ever happend .. esp. not for the bertrayed Person .. I know he only had good intentions but it´s the bad idea ever to let aiba think he cheated on him .. and Toma is also not really clever to not tell Jun about this plan .. ahhh hope they will clear up the missunderstanding ... and all can be happy even if Sho´s Father belongs to the Yakuza ..

mmm we will see in the next chapter ;D
